About Ervin Photography and Modeling

Bob Ervin established the company in August, 1978!  His interest in photography occurred at the age of five, after his mother gave him a WWII era twin-lens reflex camera and an original Polaroid Land camera, both of which still function today.  At the age of nine years, Bob photographed Hank Aaron's younger brother while hitting his first home run during a minor league baseball game in Ft. Lauderdale.  His mother sent the picture to the local newspaper several weeks later, and the picture was published, further inspiring Bob's interest in photography!

Bob's parents served in WWII.  His father served on an aircraft carrier as an aircraft prep sailor.  His mother served in the Women's Army Corps (WACS) in Hawaii.   Bob's mother was quite a colorful and intelligent lady!  And she always encouraged him to aspire to great accomplishment, both academically and professionally.   Bob's father taught him the meaning of honor, integrity, and hard work.  And he, too, encouraged him.  In particular, his dad would always say, "Son, learn everything that you can about everything.  You never know when you might need it!".

An interesting fact about Bob is that he has a partially photographic memory (aligns well in the world of imaging!).  And he, as a Christian, expresses sincere interest in each of his employees, as well as his many clients, models, business partners, and colleagues.
